Taking this into account, many plastics processing companies now want to manufacture their products from biopolymers or bioplastics. It is easy to overlook the fact that focusing solely on the use of biopolymers or bioplastics does not always lead to a satisfactory technical solution, and that there are other ways to achieve greater “sustainability”. Frequently, a fundamental increase in the recyclability of the product in question, for example by implementing detachable material compounds based on adhesion effects, also leads to a significant increase in sustainability or a significant reduction in the CO2 footprint.
